Floorwork Technique Intensive

The workshop is spread over five mornings of intensive floorwork technique workshops. You will be introduced to and will develop an approach to the floor with the priority of protecting the body from any falling. You will learn choreography of contact with the floor with any part of the body. It will be linked as well to acrobatics and transporting across the floor in phrasing and organic movements.

The workshop goes directed especially to circus artists with certain body knowledge. Dancers are as well welcome. The teacher, Miquel G. Font, can push you as well as adapting to your capacity.

The workshop will be taught by Miquel G. Font. Miquel G. Font, born in Barcelona has danced in several companies around Europe and USA, in different styles and repertoire by choreographers as Sharon Eyal, J. Killian, Guy&Ronni and O. Naharing amongst others. he is now the director of Habemus Corpus Dance Company and guest choreographer abroad in companies as Scapino Ballet Rotterdam. As a trainer/worshopper he has guested in entities as De Stilte Dance Copany (Breda), Codarts Rotterdam, Tanzcompagnie Rotterdam or Open Look festival St. Petersburg among others. His very versatile experience provides him of the capacity of delivering a large body awareness skills and adaptable to any source of technique for dancers, gymnastics, circus artists, etc.
