This contemporary class will be based on floor work and simple acrobatic sequences. The connection with the floor is an important thing in dance. We start the class with warming up the body using the floor. Continuing with research, development, improvisation and choreography on (and off) the floor. During the class we go through floor work, with rolls, glides, spirals and simple acrobatic movements. Join the class and get comfortable with the floor.

Dieuwertje Spek her life has been dominated by moving. Before she started dancing she performed gymnastics on a high level. She graduated as a allround dancer/performer from Fontys School of Arts (TDU Jazz/urban). During and after the academy she worked with ISH, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Nir de Volff, Lina Limosani, among others. She is passioned about everything around dancing and always looking for a new challenge. Currently she is working as a freelancer, performing (inter)nationally with different companies, teaching, creating her own work and is artistic director of DansBlok (a platform for professional dance around Leiden).
