This ballet class is rooted in flow and the use of breath. It follows the classical build up with a barre to set up clarity and grow into an increasing range of motion. Progressing forward onto this, the exercises in the center are based on traveling through and embodying space. The key elements of breath and clarity within the body are supported by the principles of the Gyrokinesis® method.

Tessa is a Dutch dancer and Gyrokinesis® trainer based in Rotterdam. She trained at renowned academies such as The Royal Conservatory The Hague, Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in London and Codarts Rotterdam. Since 2013 she has danced with Scapino Ballet Rotterdam and dance company De Stilte. Here she performed work of i.a. Ed Wubbe, Fang-Yu Shen, Jack Timmermans, Bruno Caverna, Jack Gallagher and Lidia Wos. She now works as a freelance dancer and creates her own work with DansBlok dance collective.
