Digital dance: get in touch (improvisation)

How can we dance and (re)connect with each other digitally so that we can feel the connection with our bodies? After a number of workshops at Contact Zone Rotterdam, it turns out that this is a skill that can be learned, with practice!

We will follow a simple but very logical buildup: • body • room/space • duets/communications • group

This basic structure will always stay the same and support us.

The movements will be improvised in the moment, based on the task: You can do this in your own dance-language, the way that you feel comfortable to move. There will also be time for us to evaluate our findings with each other. Each time, with each session we will have learned something deeper.

Nederlands: Hoe kunnen we dansend verbinding maken met elkaar, maar dan digitaal, èn alsnog de verbinding lichamelijk voelen? Na een aantal workshops & jams bij Contact Zone Rotterdam blijkt, dit is een skill die je wel kunt leren. Ook hier geldt: oefening baart kunst!

Je doet dit telkens improviserend, in de bewegingstaal die jij prettig vindt. We doen dit elke keer als onderzoek, er zal tijd en ruimte zijn om opgedane ervaringen hiermee uit te gaan wisselen. En met elke keer zullen we ons doel een beetje dichterbij zijn gekomen.
