Musical Jazz

As you can probably guess, I am not your typical, strict, scary teacher. My classes start with an easy-to-follow technical warm up. The warm up includes basic steps and exercises to help improve strength, stamina and flexibility. We then move on to movement sequences across the room to work on the progression of technical steps and presentation of work. This is followed by a set routine being taught, choreographed especially by me. At the end of each class, there is a stretch to cool down.

The style of my class is influenced by some of my wonderful teachers, and also by the work of many renowned classical, modern and musical choreographers. I enjoy teaching routines from shows and productions I have been in, and creating new work for my classes when I feel very creative. I am always excited to see who is going to join my class, whether it’s for hard work, or for fun.
