Maroula is passionate about her teaching practice with a versatile experience and training background. She holds a Master of Arts in Contemporary Dance from London Contemporary Dance School and a BA in Dance Teaching from Niki Kontaxaki’ s Higher Professional Dance School. Before she decided to follow the dance path, Maroula graduated with a BA in Primary Education from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
She is always striving to update and develop her professional practice. She has travelled around Europe to follow inspiring teachers and dance festivals. While she lived in Belgium (2014-16), she intensively followed professional development classes and workshops with various teachers and companies. Since 2013, she has been studying the contemporary Flying Low and Passing Through dance techniques from the founder David Zambrano himself. As part of that study, she was invited for various intensive workshops and a prestigious one-month training in Spain.
